“Oriental Dance”,“Raqs Sharqi”, or “Belly Dance” has very little to do with the Maghreb or North Africa (sans Egypt). This article, written by Esraa Warda especially for ZeoT Zürich, explains more about these fascinating dance styles, music and culture.
