THE STORY BEHIND ''PARFUM'' - THE ZEOT ZÜRICH SHOW 2021

We all have our own aromatic memories. The smokiness of smouldering embers, the leathery smell of new shoes, the zest of juicy lemons and mandarins, or the pavement after a summer rain storm trigger unique and individual remembrances. A perfume is like a liquid memory or emotion, mute and difficult to describe with words alone.

In June 2021 we will be presenting our new dance production, PARFUM. Using the structure of Michael Edwards’ ‘Fragrance Wheel’ the performance will move through various scent families and dancers will bring to life the memories evoked by these fragrances.

To feel good in your own skin is truly a gift and it’s this gift that I want to share with as many women as possible through their participation in dance performance projects. This is also the gift that dance can provide by sharing the way we experience the world, providing a means to communicate beyond language and time.

Find out more about how the experience of rehearsing together, supporting one another, being part of the creative process, and ultimately performing on stage can have a powerful and transformative effect on women’s body image and self esteem.

Wenn Du Deine Tanztechnik verbessern willst, empfehlen wir Dir regelmässig am Unterricht teilzunehmen und von verschiedenen Lehrerinnen zu lernen. Zusätzliche Informationen und andere Perspektiven beschleunigen Deinen Lernprozess und es macht Spaß, neue Stile auszuprobieren. 

Im November und Dezember hast Du im ZeoT Zürich reichlich Gelegenheit zum Experimentieren. Ozgen, Amanda Pittoreska und Kaeshi Chai unterrichten Workshops, die man nicht verpassen sollte! Warum probierst Du nicht Rumba Oriental, Tribal Fusion Datura Style oder lerne eine lyrische orientalische Choreografie? Mehr dazu weiter unten.

Wir freuen uns auch sehr, das Thema und den Titel der ZeoT Zürich Show 2020 bekannt zu geben: PARFUM. Die faszinierende Verbindung zwischen Geruch und Erinnerung wird durch Tanz auf die Bühne gebracht. If you want to improve your dance technique make sure to take regular classes and with a variety of teachers. Getting additional information and other perspectives can really speed up the learning process plus it’s fun to try out new styles. 

In November and December you’ll have plenty of opportunity to experiment at ZeoT Zürich. Ozgen, Amanda Pittoreska and Kaeshi Chai will be giving workshops that are not to be missed! Why not try Rumba Oriental, Tribal Fusion Datura style or learn a lyrical oriental choreography? More details below.
